National Roof Training Group – UK Roofing Industry Training Support

The NRTG is the representative body for the UK Independent Roof Training Groups.

The individual Groups, supported by annual grant from CITB, source, provide and organise training needs, arrangements and solutions for their Roofing Contractor Members across 8 Regions:

the North East
Yorkshire & Humberside
the North West & North Wales
the Midlands

Wales
London & Southern Counties
South West
the South Coast

Some 400 Roofing Contractors are currently enjoying the benefits of membership which is open to all SMEs and large businesses located across the UK. Training Officers are responsible for day to day activities, and have between them, some 150 years experience of training within the roofing sector.

The Group acts on behalf of, and represents Regional Training Groups in all discussions and negotiations on training within the roofing sector at national level.

It influences and advises on training arrangements and solutions, and networks with its employer base and key partners to implement strategies.
It promotes and stimulates collective initiatives such as the recent e-learning and assessor projects.
It promotes the sector.
It promotes careers within the sector, training courses, seminars, lectures, work visits and study tours.
Plans for the future include fund raising to support bursaries and other initiatives.
